eight/nine/17

eight/nine/17 is based on tangential information and the idea of collaboration. 17 colors melt down to make 9 crayons. The type that they create when they are repurposed consists of nine letters, and the words when read as numbers and added together equal 17 (which, as a word has 9 letters). There are motions towards the concept of modularity and the idea of appropriation. Plus, experimenting with melting and reforming crayons was a lot of fun.
